I’ve been playing Minecraft now for several months and am ashamed to say I am addicted to it. I’ve created a few texture packs for use with the game and figured I would share them with everyone.
The first texture pack is one I created because I have troubles telling the difference between several of the ore textures due to my colorblindness. It replaces the Gold, Iron, Coal, Diamond, and Redstone ore textures with ones that have letters on them. There is G for Gold, I for Iron, C for Coal, D for Diamond, and R for Redstone. All the other textures are the default textures.
The second texture pack is one I created after reading a post on the forums talking about using a clear texture to see through the ground. Instead of using the ones I found on the internet, I figured I would make my own. I basically cut out all but 1 pixel around each edge of the textures for the basic ground blocks (i.e. dirt, gravel, sand, etc…) but left all the other textures alone. The ore blocks are the same ones used in the colorblind texture mentioned above. I also left Obsidian, Adminium, Clay, and the new ground textures alone so they are easier to spot.
